About me

About 2 years ago the first time I heard of interaction design, I was suddenly enlightened by its design thinking. I was surprised that how a great design can really fulfill users' needs, not only functionally, but also emotionally. I always believe design is not just for artistic or academic exercises. Design is about creating a better life. Since then I stepped in the way of pursuing to be a great humancentered designer.

After 4 years study of industrial design (engineering) in China and 1 year study of interaction design in US, my breadth of skills covers initial design research, coding, design thinking, ideation sketching, prototype modeling, final computer rendering and manufacturing. Except acquiring fundamental design techniques, the experience of living in two countries and studying in two different major gives me the ability to solve problems from different perspectives.

I've involved several commercial projects so far, including large-scale design researches, product design and conceptual interaction design. I strive to develop solutions that are inviting and interesting, but also mirror the client's core values and mission. I collaborated with my teammates to devise creative solutions on design issues on deadlines. All the projects significantly improved both aesthetics and usability of the current products.

Now I am ready to accept the challenge outside of school. I'd love to apply my skills to more realworld human problems. I feel my education, can-do approach, self-motivation, and enthusiasm for design would make me a true contributor in the design field.
